Most of you might wonder: Do I really need any experience before I trek in Nepal?

NO, you don't need any trekking experience before you trek in Nepal.

Hard to believe? Nepal a country known for the highest mountain in the world, many people assume that Nepal is for hardcore adventure and all. But the great thing is Nepal being a country consisting of 8 out of 10 highest mountains in the world, offers wide range of treks which are perfect for beginners and first time trekkers.

Here's a thing: Trekking is not about any technical skill or any mountaineering experience. It is all about self believe, knowing and understanding your body, respecting your  body, knowing your limits and most importantly respecting the nature. Now all you need is a strong will and some daily walks that will prepare your body a little stronger.

“What about altitude?” you might think

That's a fair concern. And that is why having a good itinerary and a good guide. Two important principle of trekking: Gradual altitude gain and Acclimatization:  We never rush while going up. Our body needs to adjust the altitude and when needed acclimatizing at certain level. At any point any symptoms of altitude sickness is experienced, you need to slow down or stop or come down to the lower altitude. This is where guides tell you by analyzing your situation which of the above steps are to be followed.

Out of all these there are few things you need to be prepared of. Trekking is not just about adventure or the altitude that we gain. It is more about the journey that we live. And the journey can be both sweet and bitter. When you are on the trials you are already left your comfort zone back. You have to prepare yourself for different challenges, not only physical but both mental and emotional ups and down. One moment you get mesmerized with the views and the next moment you are battling the altitude, the cold and self-doubt. But this is the moment where you discover the new version of yourself. You get to know that your limit is beyond your assumption.

Therefore, mix of all these experiences turns into something much bigger that just a bucket list hike. It all becomes something more deeper and more meaningful that will stay with you forever.

Your first trek doesn't have to be perfect,

It just have to begin.
